Active for All supports and promotes physical activity for adults aged 18+ with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and long-term health conditions. We exist to make it easier for you to improve your health and wellbeing by helping you find something active you can do regularly and enjoy.

Basketball

Basketball

Inclusive Basketball · 13:00–14:00
We support the delivery of a weekly basketball session in partnership with Plymouth Life Centre. The sessions are run by a qualified coach and take place every Thursday from 1.00pm to 2.00pm. Please contact us for the current cost. All abilities are welcome. No experience is needed, just enthusiasm! Booking is essential.

Boccia

Boccia

Wednesday Boccia · 10:30–11:30
Boccia is a boules-type game designed so that people of all physical abilities can participate. The aim is to get your balls as close to the white ‘jack’ ball as you can. The balls can be released in a variety of ways depending on the person’s ability; they can be thrown, kicked, pushed off the lap or released with assistance from a ramp. Each week, we deliver an inclusive football session in partnership with Plymouth Argyle Community Trust. The cost is £3.50 per session and the session is run by a qualified football coach. Walking

Monday Barbican Walk · 14:00–15:00
We deliver three walks a week around The Hoe and The Barbican. Walks take place on Mondays and Fridays. The Monday ‘walk and talk’ session is a brisk one-hour walk, meeting at the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican at 12.50pm for a 1.00pm start. Active For All Taster Sessions

Active for All run courses of taster sessions which enable people to try new activities in a group environment. The activities can be anything which gets you moving a bit more, from sport to walking to gardening!

The main aims are:

  • To improve your health
  • To meet new people
  • To help you find something you can do regularly and enjoy

We run taster sessions courses every quarter. Examples of courses we have delivered recently include;
