Sensory Solutions Outreach Service
Sensory Solutions provides a FREE Outreach Service, meeting with people at home, at the Centre, or at other locations to offer advice and support to people with hearing and/or sight difficulties.
We can provide:
- Practical help to overcome the day-to-day challenges you face at home or work because of your sight loss.
- Personalised equipment demonstrations of assistive technology designed to promote independence and build confidence.
- Assistance connecting with other agencies – including health, housing, debt advice, benefits, and more.
- Support to continue existing activities and hobbies, develop new interests, and make new friends.
- Up to date and accurate information so that you can make informed decisions about what is best for you.
Insight Extra Support Group
A group run by Sensory Solutions that meets monthly on a Tuesday morning between 1030 am and 1230 pm. Membership priority is currently given to people who have attended the Sensory Solutions Insight Course, however it welcomes anyone with sight loss.
Our membership fee is £5 per session. Members have an opportunity to network, listen to an invited speaker and get an update on national and local issues relevant to sight loss.
Our Insight course is a FREE four day course for people who are newly visually impaired that introduces delegates to the local and national support available to help them manage their sight loss and maintain their desired degree of independence.
